Here are the steps to download and install the Windows AIK used in LANDesk Management Suite 9.0.

In the LANDesk Console, go to Tools | Distribution | OS Deployment. Click on the 3rd button over from the left.

This will open the WinPE/Dos Validation window.

Click the Validate Now button. The following screen will appear.

Download the WAIK from the Microsoft Download Center using the link provided. This will download a .iso file. This can either be burned to a DVD or mounted using a drive emulator such as Daemon Tools.

NOTE: The tools are mentioned as examples only. LANDesk does not endorse or support these products.

When the disk is opened, the following window will appear.

Click the link for Windows AIK Setup.

The Setup window will open as seen below. Click Next.

Accept the Licensing agreement.

Select the installation folder. The default installation path is recommended.

Click Next on the Confirm Installation screen.

When the installation is complete the installer will prompt to close the installation window.

Go back to the Windows PE imaging environment validation screen.

Click Next. Browse to the location where the WAIK was installed. By default this is C:\Program Files\Windows AIK.

Click Next. The activation will occur. After the activation completes, the following window will be shown.

After completing these steps you will be able to create WinPE OS Deployment scripts and Provisioning tasks.
